Good morning skiers and riders of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Today is Tuesday, January 31st, 2012 and it's looking like it's going to be another fabulous day on the slopes! You can expect to see partly cloudy skies with temperatures reaching the low 30's. On top of comfortable temperatures, there is a 20% chance for snow for today and lasting through Thursday, which will add on to the 9 inches of snow the mountain has received in the past week! On this last day in January, you can take your pick on any of the 9 lifts that are spinning, leading you to 84 trails, spread across 626 skiable acres. The diligent groomers continue to work day and night, grooming 61 of those slopes and they recommend Crystal as their groomer's choice for the day. The options are endless as 98% of the mountain is open, including 100% of beginner and intermediate terrain, as well as 99% of advanced terrain. If you're in the mood to test out your terrain skills, there is plenty of that to go around too! Two terrain parks are open and have features and bumps for all levels of jibbers. Test your true guts on the only super pipe in southwestern Colorado! No matter where you decide to point your skis or board, the fluffy 42 inch base will be skiing and riding perfectly!
