Good morning ski bunnies and powder hounds! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. The conditions in the Butte are epic right now. We're talking 18 inches of snow in just the last seven days, with 8 inches that fell in the past 48 hours. We received an inch of snow overnight, creating super smooth conditions all over the mountain. Today there are 13 lifts transporting you up to 86 trails spread out over 770 acres of open terrain. We have 54 trails of Colorado's Best Corduroy, and we're highlighting the Groomer's Choice today, International. The base is expected to continue to rise with snow showers in the forecast for today and tomorrow, and as one guest put it, in Crested Butte, you "ski all day and never wait in a lift line." Stop by 9380 for Après and enjoy their new $5 menu that includes house specialty drinks, 2 Bud Lights, Sangria, sake shots, 1 lb. of wings, Gyoza, Pork sliders and popcorn shrimp. 9380, named for the elevation of the base area, is located slopeside in the Elevation Hotel, and is a super sweet spot to finish a full day of skiing, riding and playing!
