Good morning, my people. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Friday, February 24, 2012. You'll be making powder turns in 3" of fresh snow today. In just the last week, Crested Butte has gotten 10" of snow, providing powder and packed powder skiing and riding conditions. With 97 trails open and a total of 15 speedy lifts to get you around the mountain, you'll be making laps like a pro in the Butte today. If silky-smooth groomers are your style, then you'll want to check out Upper Forest Queen, which has been tagged as today's Groomer's Choice. We currently have clear skies that will offer up spectacular bluebird views today, so be sure to bring your camera along to capture unforgettable perspectives all over the mountain. There is a quaint and distinguished cabin at mid-mountain, where you can find exquisitely prepared food in an unforgettable setting. The Ice Bar at Uley’s Cabin is located at the base of the Twister Lift, and has indoor and outdoor seating for gourmet lunches and beverages.
