Today is Santa Ski Day! Crested Butte Mountain Resort is sponsoring the "Santa Ski and Crawl" in hopes of breaking the World Record for the most number of skiers in full Santa costumes. Participants need to be decked out in a full Santa suit in order to participate and can get a discounted lift ticket at the Treasury Center with full out santa suit. All Santas will meet at the Ice Bar at Uley’s Cabin by 3:00 PM for a group ski to the base area at 3:30 PM.

Join us at Lodge at Mountaineer Square for some holiday cheer at 6 pm tonight. Hot Chocolate will be provided and s’mores can be roasted over fire pits. Santa will be there to hear what is on your wish list and to have photos taken with the kids. After the tree is lit enjoy a performance from the UCC Choir and local singer, Tyler Hansen.

Break out the flat light lens, grab the gear, and head out to Crested Butte Mountain Resort to enjoy NEW SNOW, with 2 inches of fresh powder on the ground over night!  This Saturday, December 12, 2015 will be nothing short of incredible, as there are sure to be fresh pow turns galore on all 289 acres now open and it’s expected to keep on dumping, as we anticipate receiving another 5 inches before this storm wraps up!  As of this morning, 8 lifts have sparked up leading you to 41 powder filled trails, of which 30 have been smoothed out to the finest corduroy you’ll find in Colorado.  Many thanks to Mother Nature for raising our base measurement up to 27 soft, cushy inches and providing amazing skiing and riding no matter which trail you decide to point your tips down.  Groomer’s word is Lower Keystone is where to find the best corduroy turns on the hill.
