Rise and shine skiers and riders, it’s shaping up to be another spectacular day on the slopes here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, because on this 7th day of January in 2016, 2 inches of new snow have fallen in the last 24 hours, and it’s still coming down. The best part is, Mother Nature has no intention of stopping the goodness as snow is in the forecast through the rest of the week and into the weekend, with temperatures reaching the mid 20’s! It’s a superb day to ski in a winter wonderland with 14 lifts spinning, taking you to 82 spectacular trails. Thanks to the 79 inches of snow that have already fallen on Crested Butte Mountain so far this season, the 50 inch base is nothing short of powderific. But don’t think the groomer’s have taken any time off, they continue to work diligently day and night creating Colorado’s best corduroy on 57 of those runs and they recommend Treasury as their groomer’s choice today.
