There is snow in the air, as we see another inch layer our hill in the last 24 hours with more on the way, so grab the gear and head up to the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort today, Friday, January 8, 2016. Nice, mild temperatures and several inches of new snow in the last couple of days will make cruising down all 724 acres of stellar terrain available a delight at every turn. Mountain Ops has 14 lifts cranked up this morning to lead you to 82 powder filled trails, of which 58 have been shaped up to the Best Corduroy in Colorado, and all of which are blanketed in a soft, 50 inch base. For those of you wishing to carve the best groomed turns on the hill, look no further than Prospector, our groomer’s top pick run of the day.

Enjoy the new Tubing Hill, Flying Gopher Mini Golf Course (9 holes), Rock Climbing and Bungee Trampolines! Crested Butte Mountain Resort’s snowshoe tour is a unique way to experience the majestic surroundings of the valley.  Tours explore areas of the mountain where few skiers go. Participants learn about the history of the area and qualities of the local ecosystem. Tours last about two and a half hours and include a guide, snowshoes, poles, a lift ride, water, and a light snack.  Tours leave at 12:30 p.m. daily.
