Good morning from Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Today is Wednesday, December 7, 2016 and it’s a pow day. We have received 5 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours and 9 inches in the last 7 days. We have 246 acres of total terrain open on 36 trails with 154 acres of groomed trails all accessible by one of our 5 open lifts including Silver Queen! Join some fabulous female CBMR Ski School Instructors and SheJumps for Get the Girls Out Women’s Ski Day, Saturday December 10th, 2016. This all-female group will meet at 10 AM at Coal Breaker Coffee to get booted up and break into groups. Meet back at Butte 66 at 1 PM, where each participant will be entered into a free giveaway with awesome prizes thanks to generous sponsors. Open to all levels and ages and females only, this is an excellent opportunity to meet like-minded women in a supportive snowsports environment. These next few weeks, be sure to get the little one up on the slopes! Up until December, 16, kids under the age of 12 ski FREE! NO adult ticket, NO lesson required, NO strings attached! Just good ole’ fashioned free skiing for the youngest of shredders! Be Sure to stop by Jefe’s for some tacos and margaritas. Open from 11 am to 4 pm. Uphill traffic must continue to only go to the top of Paradise via Houston Access, Forest Queen and Upper Ruby Chief. Upper Park, Upper Keystone, and Breakfast Trail are not open for uphill traffic until further notice. That’s all for now! Go get some pow and we’ll see you on the slopes!
