Hello weekend and happy Saturday from Crested Butte Mountain Resort! This is Powder Hound giving you the January 5, 2013 snow info. We currently have a base measuring in at 28 inches, allowing for 548 acres of ripping terrain to be open and ready for action. There are 12 lifts cranking their wheels to drop you on 79 trails of which 29 are smoothed out in corduroy perfection. A whopping 94% of the mountain is now open with 95% being beginner/intermediate and 98% being advance. An extra layer will come in handy this morning until the temps reach the expected high of 25*f. Word from the groomers is Upper Ruby Chief is the choice today, so make sure you turn your skis in that direction for some extra fun! Cash in your lift ticket from opening day 2012 for a $39 lift ticket on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Couldn't make it for opening day, not to worry! Lift tickets will still be available for a discounted price of $59 per ticket. Get out and make some turns this Tuesday, 1/8/13 and save some green!
