Time to get out and cheer on some of the finest skiers on the hill as they compete in the 22nd Annual Extreme Freeskiing Competition Finals today! Break out the air horns and cow bells and come root for your favorite, as they have earned their right to ski for the win today after intense qualifications. The Subaru Freeskiing Tour is the 4-star big mountain Freeskiing series which acts as the North American qualifier for the Swatch Freeride World Tour by The North Face, so it is kind of a big deal to these athletes. Good luck to all competitors and we hope to see some amazing skiing out there!

WOW…What a Sunny Saturday here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! You just cannot resist beautiful spring skiing like what is in store for us! Blue skies, great snow, and warm temps will get headed to the slopes today, March 30, 2013! This is Powder Hound barking out the message that 13 lifts are cranking their wheels to serve up 958 acres of pure fun, 290 of which have been groomed in the best corduroy in Colorado. Access 95% of the mountain that is now open for your enjoyment, 100% being beginner, intermediate, and advance terrain and 76% in the extreme territory. 93 trails are currently waiting to be ripped up, of which 60 have been groomed for your gliding pleasure. Check out Crystal today, as the groomers have given the word that it is packing the sweet spots!
Today is all about extreme entertainment! Head on over to the Butte 66 for some live après ski music with Bruce Hayes and Jim Sandy from 3:30 until 6 pm!
