It’s the beginning of another terrific weekend here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort as we awake to 1 more inch of fresh powder on the ground! That’s 4 inches in the past 48 hours and over 3 feet in the last 7 days! All 15 lifts are cranked up this morning to serve up the 1,163 acres of superb terrain covered in a 77 inch base. There is fun to be had for all skill levels as an amazing 99% of our mountain is accessible. The forecast is calling for a nice, warm, spring-like day out there, so grab the gear and head on up to enjoy the 18 feet of snow we’ve received this season so far! Groomers have issued word that Jokerville is the choice run for some soft turns on Colorado’s Best Corduroy. Dance the night away with your special Valentine at the Valentine’s Swing Night where you’ll learn to impress your sweetheart by twirling him/her around the dance floor in this introductory partner Swing Dance class. No Date? No problem! No partner is necessary. Tickets are $25 per couple and $15 for an individual and the dance starts at 8pm at the Center for the Arts. I Heart Twister!! Come take a ride, as my favorite lift, Twister, sparks to life for this weekend only! Today, there will be live music and drink specials on the deck at Uley’s Cabin. Raffle tickets will also be distributed each time you ride the lift and the drawing is to be held at 2pm! Come show how much you heart Twister!! Experience the mountain like never before with a moonlight snowshoe tour. Catch a ride on a snowcat to the top of the Red Lady Express chairlift and snowshoe the moonlight mountain trails back to the base area.
