Good morning to all snow sport enthusiasts here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort on this very fine Friday, February 21, 2014! This is Powder Hound barking out the word that we are, in fact, 100% open, with another inch on the ground over night! The 8 inches of fresh pow that flew down in the last 48 hours is making for some pretty amazing conditions out there from wall to wall and peak to base! Over 18 Feet of snowfall down this season so far ensures that all of your favorite powder stashes are skiing their best and we have 14 lifts that are spinning to get you there with ease. Rip turns down all 121 trails currently available, 72 of which have been smoothed out to Colorado’s Best Corduroy. The Groomer’s have sent word that Black Eagle is where to point the tips for the best groomed turns on the hill! Don’t put your low light lens away yet! The forecast is calling for another 5 inches from now through Saturday! Kid’s need a night out? Well, look no further than Camp CB where your child will join our fun-loving kid’s instructors for a visit to the Adventure Park, followed by dinner and games! This one of a kind adventure includes five zip lines ranging in length from 120 - 400 feet connected by features or “events” such as suspended wood bridges and towering platforms.
