Here we are in another storm cycle with Mother Nature unloading a sweet start to March with 12 inches in the last 24 hours, 16 inches in the last 48 hours, and 2 feet in the last seven days. That is almost 21 feet from this season, so head on out to all that fresh powder on any one of our 14 lifts shuttling you to 1167 acres of open terrain covering the 120 open trails today for your skiing and riding pleasure. The 86 inch base and terrificly groomed terrain, like the Groomer's choice Paradise Bowl, will make for a wonderful way to enjoy the 100% of open beginner, intermediate, advanced, extreme terrain. An awesome event is taking place today on Crested Butte Mountain Resort. 7 Hours of the Banana is a ski race where competitors will ski or ride nonstop laps down Banana for seven straight hours to raise money for the Adaptive Sports Center and the Crested Butte Snowsports Foundation. An eclectic, grueling, and great race for a great cause! Now in its fifth year, Crested Butte Mountain Resort will host their annual spring concert Ski Town Break Down. Formally known as Festevol, this event brings in national talent at an affordable rate; engaging both locals and visiting guests to celebrate spring with live music and a festival village in the base area. There is a concert and lodging deal starting at $115 per person for a night of lodging, lift ticket and a concert ticket to boot!
