Good morning snow hounds! It's your Snow Betty here to tell you it's time to strap in your boots and start riding today, December 11th! It's another SWEET DAY here in Paradise! 8 inches have blanketed our mountain in the last 48 hours and a wonderful 14 inches in the last 7 days! That brings us to a total of 107 for the season. No excuses this Sunday, it's time to play in the powder. We currently have 71% of our advanced terrain open as well as 79% of our beginner and intermediate terrain. Thats a whopping 437 acres for your pleasure!Peachtree, Teocalli and the East River Lifts are open again along with the Red Lady Express, Silver Queen, Paradise and for you newbies out there, both Ski School Magic Carpets are open. Our grooming crew has been wonderfully working all night long to help open some new fun trails, such as Lower International, Black Eagle, Double Top Glades and more! Groomer's Choice for today is Upper Keystone, so enjoy! If you can't head up to the Hill today, join the Crested Butte Nordic Center's Citizens' Races at the Nordic Center at 9:30am. This is great opportunity for locals and visitors alike to experience a timed racing event in a relaxed atmosphere. This 10K classic race will kick off this season's series. Registration will take place prior to the race this morning. The cost is $12 for adults, $10 for members and only $5 for children under 17. More snow is on the way today so don't forget your goggles and I hope to see you up there!
