Announcements
Good morning everyone. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. To put it in the words of some of our most well-spoken locals...it has been dumping here! Crested Butte has received 2 inches in the last 24 hours, 11 inches in the last 48 hours and a total of 17 inches in the last seven days. We are skiing and riding pretty- by which I mean, FLOATING- on 67 inches of natural snow base at the top and 58 inches at midway. With 1167 acres to explore and 13 lifts shuttling you quickly up the hill, skiers and riders have little to complain about in Crested Butte. If you are looking to get steep and deep, then this is the place to be. I'm almost sure I was floating in a powder heaven yesterday, so you know I am going back for more today. If groomers are more your style, then you will love what this latest snow storm has brought to 420 groomed acres on the hill. You won't be surprised to hear that International is the Groomer's Choice today and I must say that International is smooth like butter right now. Not a bad way to spend the hump day...eh?

I know it may seem like a long way off, but March is really just around the corner. I wanted to let you in on a huge event coming up on March 26. I am talking about the O.A.R. FestEvol. Crested Butte Mountain Resort is teaming up with Nordica, Reverb and the Bud Light Concert Series to bring you an entirely new and innovative event. In its inaugural year, FestEVOL is bringing O.A.R. and the Pete Kilpatrick Band to Crested Butte for a unique lifestyle experience combining mountain sports, live music, innovative natural brands and a sustainably focused “eco village” to help keep the event green. You can get in on this new and forward-thinking entertainment by booking your packaged trip with Crested Butte Vacations. They have great deals including lodging and a concert ticket for $99, or lodging, lift and concert ticket for only $149. Tickets to the O.A.R. concert are only $25, so with all these deals, there is no reason to miss this stellar event. For more information, call Crested Butte Vacations at 1-800-810-7669.

It's that time again. It's time to hang up the phone or get off the computer, gather your gear, grab a cup of Joe and take the free bus to Mt. Crested Butte. The skiing and riding is epic out there folks- it's time to go get you some. Have a great day and I'll see you on the hill.
