Good morning skiers and riders! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. We now have the Prospect lift open with access to the Prospector Trail and Little Lizzie. This gives us 363 acres open for skiing and riding and 10 lifts open. We have 29 groomed trails and 57% of our total terrain open for your enjoyment. Our Grooming and Terrain Park Teams are working on the Painter Boy Park and Nastar/Boarder Cross Course. The Painter Boy Park and the Nastar will open tomorrow and the Boarder Cross Course should open no later Saturday.Snowmaking operations are finishing up the Cascade Park and the Gold Link Lift will open tomorrow with East River and Teocalli lifts opening on Saturday. With a high of 28*F today and 30% chance of snow it is sure to be another great today to get on the hill! There is plenty to do in the Gunnison/Crested Butte area and this special event is sure to treat! The Circus of Funnison is holding its 3rd Circus Jam at the Gunnison Rec Center today from 6-8pm. Learn to juggle, trapeze, walk on stilts, unicycle, hula hoop, acro balance, spin poi and more! Artists and students needed! All ages and skill levels are welcome!
