Announcements
Good morning ski bunnies and powder hounds. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Monday, January 23, 2012. Hit the fluffy white slopes this morning because we've gotten 4 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours! In the last two days, we've received 19 inches of snow and this entire weather event in the last week has dropped 37 inches of snow on the mountain. Our "deependable" base is 44" at the top, 33" at midway and is waiting for you to practice some powder turns! Our open terrain includes 78 trails on 553 acres, including 75 groomed trails and the Groomer's Choice for Today, Upper Keystone- one of my favorite runs, by the way! New terrain opening up for the day includes Double Top Glades, Peonia, Silvanite and Topsy. Forecasters are calling for a 60% chance of snow tomorrow, and with our recent snow event, we're feeling confident the pow will continue to rise.

Looking for something unique to do in the majestic surroundings of Crested Butte? Our Snowshoe Tours last about two and a half hours, involve approximately two miles of hiking, and include a guide, a lift ride, water and a light snack and all the gear you need to get you around. It's a great workout that is mellow enough for most of our guests. The tours leave twice a day - at 9:45am and 1:15pm. For information and reservations stop by the Adventure Center or call 970-349-4554.

Enjoy a distinctive dining experience in Crested Butte, where getting there is half the fun.  Ride in an open sleigh pulled by a snow cat to a beautiful cabin tucked in the woods.  The menu features creative entrees for the sophisticated palate, and a full bar and handpicked wine list are available to complement your meal.  Bundle up after dinner and ride the sleigh back to the base area under the cool, night sky. Sleigh Ride dinners are available Wednesday, Thursday, Frisday and Saturday evenings and advance reservations are required – call 349.4554 to learn more or to book your Sleigh Ride Dinner.
