Welcome to Crested Butte Mountain Resort! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Friday, February 3, 2012. Start your weekend off right by exploring 770 acres of accessible terrain at the Butte. We have 13 lifts to get you up to a total of 86 trails, with 63 trails of Colorado's Best Corduroy. We also have an inch of fresh snow for super smooth turns on the mountain today. We now have 100% of our beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain open, as well as 27% of our infamous Extreme terrain. In the last two weeks, we've received 35 inches of snow, so if you're looking to get steep and deep, Crested Butte should be your destination.

Something tells me it's high time you try out the Crested Butte Zip Line. You've probably seen the wicked cool suspended wood bridges and towering platforms connected by hundreds of feet of zip lines. The zip line tour takes about 2 hours and costs only $59 for high-flying, unforgettable thrills. Call 970.349.2211 or just stop by the Adventure Center in Mountaineer Square to learn more or to book your next Crested Butte adventure.

If you're new to snow sports and want to give skiing or snowboarding a try, then check out our Learn to Ski for Free package. Now through March 9, if you stay two or more nights at any Crested Butte Mountain Resort lodging property, you'll also receive a free beginner lesson with our experts at the Crested Butte Ski & Ride School. You'll also get lift ticket access to beginner areas on the mountain, and a free set of rental skis or rental snowboard. This package is valid for kids and adults and can be purchased by calling Crested Butte Vacations today at 1.800.810.7669.

That's all from me today folks. Enjoy the skiing and riding…I'll see you on the hill!
