Good morning and welcome back to the 80's! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Sunday, February 19, 2012. With 16" of new snow in the last week, we are skiing and riding in excellent packed powder conditions. There are 15 lifts to quickly shuttle you up to your choice of 93 trails and a whole lot of accessible acres of terrain. Why not spend some of your Sunday cruising Colorado's Best Corduroy? With 61 trails of buttery smooth, perfectly groomed conditions, you'll be carving like a pro. 100% of our beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain is open, as well as 58% of our infamous Extreme terrain. Get out there and go big today on the only Superpipe in Southwest Colorado, which can be accessed by taking the Painter Boy and heading towards Gold Link.

Today on the mountain, we'll be looking out for side ponytails, one piece snowsuits and LOTS of neon colors. It's 80's ski day, and all visitors and guests are encouraged to don their very best 80's ski gear and costumery on the mountain. Everything at the 9380 Après will be totally tubular too…we'll be rocking out to every great 80's band there ever was, and featuring their creative and always-dependable $5 drink and munchies menu.

The freshest event is happening this evening with the Stoli-sponsored 80's party at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square Ballroom. Everything will be rad, including the Six Million Dollar Band who will be pumping out classically cool 80's new wave music with five keyboards alongside the guitar, drum and bass rhythm sections. There will be a wicked cool high tech light and laser show, disco balls, elevated dance platforms and a whole ballroom of valley girls, posers, preppies, homeboys and wannabes.

Everything about the 80's is cool right now, and there are prizes to be had tonight for biggest hair, best 80's dance moves and, of course, costumes! Prizes include but are not limited to a CB X-Card and a Festevol weekend package for 2 with lodging, lift tickets and concert tickets for the March 17 & 18 concert weekend.

The 80's party on the mountain starts at 8pm and ends when the clock strikes midnight. There is a $5 cover charge and the first 100 of-age guests to arrive will get 2 drink coupons and a hot pair of 80's sunglasses. All night long there will be $3 16oz. PBR beers and $4 well drinks. So don't be a couch potato!

Today is a day for teased hair, neon tights and sweet moves. Have a great 80's day and I'll see you on the hill.
