More beautiful sunny skies and amazing snow conditions exist for this first Saturday in January, of 2016! Grab some layers and head out the door to enjoy the nearly 7 feet of snow that has fallen this season so far. Skiers and riders of all skill levels will find challenge and thrills as 100% of the beginner and Intermediate terrain is now available, as well as 98% of the advance territory, and, as of this morning, 12% of our expert area is open for those adrenaline junkies. All 645 acres are covered in a soft 49 inch base and the word from the groomers is Upper Treasury is the place to be for the best groomed turns on the hill!

The High Lift opens today, with Paradise Cliffs and Headwall!! Please remember that the first 50 people with beacons will be allowed to enter the terrain first, then Ski Patrol will begin alternating those with beacons and those without in the lift lines, so make sure to grab your beacon to get some fresh early turns! January is National Safety Month and we have lots of activities going on around the resort, like Touch a Truck with a Firetruck from 9am-1pm in the base area or you can See a Snow Groomer at the top of Painter Boy lift from 10am-1pm, or even check out the Patrol Dogs which will be in the base area today around 10:30am or 1pm. The fun doesn’t stop once the lifts shut down! Head on over to the Butte 66 to enjoy free live music from Chuck Grossman during Après ski today from 3pm - 6pm. Chuck’s genres include blues, bluegrass, funk, folk, rock, swing, jazz and classical, adding his own flavor to each. With the sun shining high, super snow conditions, and all the fun events happening on the mountain today, you’ll want to make sure to catch the next bus up! See you on the hill!
