Rise and shine skiers and riders of Crested Butte Mountain Resort to a gorgeous start to another stellar weekend on this 27th day in February of 2016. Bluebird skies will dominate today, offering exceptional views from any one of the 15 lifts you choose to carry you to the1,091 snow filled acres of terrain available. Thanks to Mother Nature, all 118 diverse trails currently offered are layered in a super soft 52 inch base and the 11 FEET she’s dumped on us this season so far will ensure lap after lap of sweet carving opportunities. Our groomers have been hard at work overnight to ensure Colorado’s Best Corduroy is spread across 320 amazingly groomed acres and have sent word that Lower International is the place to be for the best groomed turns on the hill.

Today Big Mountain Competitors will compete on Crested Butte’s legendary extremes in the 4 Star World Qualifier Event. These athletes will compete on Headwall, so head to the wave to cheer these athletes on as they huck cliffs, ski fast, and put on a show starting at 9:30am! The Finals are tomorrow. Join us for the second CB Unplugged; A free après concert at Butte 66 featuring Todd Park Mohr from Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Show starts at 4pm ,but get there early to get a good seat! Want to improve your skiing? Sign up for the weekly Adult Saturday Clinic, taught by our awesome ski instructors. Currently they are focusing on All Mountain Crested Butte Skiing- groomed, bumps, crud, powder and the extremes. For the final weeks the ski instructors plan on taking groups into Crested Butte’s world renowned terrain including 3rd Bowl, Spellbound & Phoenix Bowls, North Face, Teocalli Bowl, Headwall, and the West Side. Session will focus on building confidence using the technical and tactical skills that have been developed throughout the season. Join one day, or sign up for every Saturday.
