Welcome to the start of another spectacular spring weekend here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort on this blue bird Friday, the 11th day of March in 2016! Super sunny skies, temps in the 40’s, and amazingly soft snow are the perfect reasons to grab the gear and head to the slopes, where you’ll find fun filled turns on all 1,091 acres of stupendous terrain that is currently covered in a 53 inch base. All 15 lifts are cranked up to lead you to the 94 diverse trails that await you, 58 of which have been shaped up to Colorado’s Best Corduroy by our professional grooming staff who have issued word that Lower International is the sweetest groomer on the hill today.

Join in for some après ski fun at the Butte 66, located at the base of the Red Lady Lift, for live music, drinks and food!  Enjoy live music in an intimate setting featuring local talent. This is where you’re going to want to be every Friday afternoon this winter! Today’s local artist, Chuck Grossman will be belting out some tunes from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm. Tonight is another Sunset Soiree at the Umbrella Bar At Ten Peaks. Enjoy the longer days and the beautiful views from the new Umbrella Bar At Ten Peaks! Our Sunset Soirees are happening Thursdays - Saturdays March 10 - 19.  Take a self-guided thirty to forty five minute skin or snowshoe tour to the top of Ten Peaks and delight in a delicious buffet dinner under the sunset, including Braunschweiger, Seasonal Fruit and Cheese Display, Spinach Salad, Barley Salad, Chili Rojo & Quinoa Chicken Soup, Authentic Bavarian Sausages, Grilled Pineapple, Mixed Mountain Berries with Montanya Rum Anglaise, and one complimentary beverage.  Additional beverages will be available for purchase.  Event tickets are for sale at the Adventure Center in advance for $35.  The food is available from 5—7 p.m. Snowshoes and AT gear are available for rent for an additional price at the Crested Butte Rental and Demo Center. I can’t imagine a better way to spend another splendid spring day than by shredding some of the best terrain in Colorado! I hope to see you doing the same! See you on the hill!
