Goodmorning on Saturday March 31th 2012. This is your wonderful Snow Betty happily reporting for Crested Butte Mountain Resort. We have amazing Spring conditions here with a high of 62*F today and more sunshine. With a total of 37 inches at our base we have 14 lifts open today shuttling you to 94% of our beginner and intermediate terrain, 89% of our advanced terrain and 48% of our extreme terrain. That's 90 trails, 1040 acres of skiable terrain with 62 trails groomed in Colorado's Best Corduroy. North Face Lift will run from 11 am until 3 pm and the High Lift will run from 11 am until 3:30 pm today. We have the only Super Pipe in Southwest Colorado and our Groomer's Choice today is Crystal.
Take a break from riding in the sunshine and check out the Chainless Bike Race today from 3pm to 6pm on the slopes of Mt. Crested Butte. Enjoy the view from the deck of the Butte 66 as competitors roll into the base area between 5:15 and 5:30pm. After enjoy music from Justin Howard and prizes for top female, male, individual and of course, best group costume.
